Recipe to make the Butter Chicken Mix
1 packet of Parampara Butter Chicken Mix
1/2 lb. of chicken or 1.5 cup of button mushrooms and 1/2 cup of peas
2 tbsp. butter
1.25 cups of water
1 small tomato (optional)
Minced cilantro or mint to garnish this dish (optional)
Fry the chicken or mushrooms in butter. Mix thoroughly the contents of this packet, water in a bowl.- add this to the chicken or mushrooms along with the peas and bring to boil. Reduce the heat so that it simmers. Stir occasionally. Simmer until the "gravy" has turned thick. Add tomato. Let the dish simmer on low for
a few more minutes. Garnish with herbs.
Accompaniment to Butter Chicken Mix
Indian Salsa
Ingredients -Serves 4
½ red onion, finely diced
2 tomatoes, finely diced
4 inch (10 cm) cucumber, finely diced
1 green chilli, or 1/4 bell-pepper de-seeded & finely chopped
1 tbsp fresh cilantro, finely minced
1 lime juice
Method:
Toss together all the ingredients except the lime juice. Just before serving, season with
a little salt and stir in the lime juice.
