INGREDIENTS
2 pounds lean ground turkey
2 red onions, finely chopped
1 cup cilantro, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced
1 tablespoon fresh garlic minced
1 tablespoon fresh green chile minced
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground coriander
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil or ghee
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, onions, cilantro, ginger paste, and chili. Season with spices. Cover, and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Mold handfuls of the turkey mixture, about 1 cup, to form a burger. Make sure the meat is spread to an even thickness. Refrigerate until you are ready to pan grill.
Brush grate liberally with oil or ghee, and arrange kabobs on pan. Cook for 10 minutes, or until well done, turning as needed to brown evenly.
Serve with cilantro or tamarind chutney
