The New Year is the time to treat yourself to fresh seasonal meals. A good way to cope with the after-effects of too much holiday foods.
Our favorite here are sprouted foods. January vegetables steamed with our subzi spices is a great way to eat seasonally. Try fish with ajwain, ginger and turmeric. Lentils and Indian chutneys and pickles are excellent this season.
Other January foods include avoc avacados, beets, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, c auliflower, potato, celery, carrots, c hanterelle mushrooms, chard, collard Greens, kale, parsnips, rutabagas, salsify, turnips.
